Other skin conditions we treat
Dry Skin
Dry skin occurs when the skin loses its natural moisture, leading to itching, flaking, and cracking. This condition can be particularly painful during the winter months when the air is cold and dry, but it can occur at any time of year for various reasons.
Dry skin often appears scaly and can cause discomfort, including cracks that may bleed or burn. While dry skin is sometimes a symptom of an underlying condition, it is more commonly caused by environmental factors, lifestyle choices, or skin care habits.
Rashes
A rash is an area of skin that has a noticeable change in texture and/or color, and is irritated, swollen, itchy and/or painful. Rashes are a symptom of many different medical conditions, from allergies to poison ivy to an adverse reaction to heat.
Warts
Plantar warts, or foot warts, form on the soles of your feet. They often have a black pinpoint center and grow in clusters or groups (mosaic warts). Because you walk on these warts daily, they can grow inward, which causes calluses to form over them. This can make it feel like you always have a pebble in your shoe.
You can also develop similar warts in the palms of your hands. These are known as palmar warts.
Fungal Infections
Fungal infections, such as ringworm, yeast infections or athlete’s foot, occur when a pathogen - an organism that causes disease - invades your body and multiplies in a specific area, overwhelming your immune system’s defenses. While these infections are most commonly found on the skin and nails, they can also impact other areas such as the mouth, throat, lungs, urinary tract and more. They often thrive in environments with moisture or significant friction.

Nail Problems
Nail disorders can be caused by various factors including infections, injuries, systemic diseases, and genetic conditions. They can affect the appearance, structure, and function of nails.
While some nail changes are harmless, others can indicate underlying health issues. Proper diagnosis and treatment are essential for maintaining healthy nails and overall well-being.
